Dr. Kristin Finkbeiner

Psychologist

Education: Kristin has obtained her doctorate in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, 2017. She is currently completing her MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy in ICHAS, Limerick and is a Graduate Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland.

Areas of Expertise: Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Practice, Mediation, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Internal Family Systems and Jungian Archetypes.

About Kristin

Kristin has obtained her doctorate in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, 2017. She is currently completing her MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy in ICHAS, Limerick and is a Graduate Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland. 

Kristin has also completed a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and relevant certificates in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Practice, Mediation, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Internal Family Systems and Jungian Archetypes. 

By facilitating hands-on learning to improve wellbeing and address everyday obstacles, Kristin helps individuals succeed and grow in all aspects of life. She brings her enthusiasm for research, teaching and counselling and translate that into individual, organizational and community success. She has a passion for creative psychological interventions such as expressive arts, drama therapy, somatic and body therapies. 

Kristin is extremely committed to intersectionality and culturally-responsive therapy, and is particularly interested in working in the areas of trauma, social anxiety, relationships, sexuality and existential concernsShe is available for both short-term (solution focused) and long-term (depth) work with adult individuals, and provides therapy in English.
