Winter can be a confronting time of the year for people – despite the frosty countryside and crystalised cobwebs making for nice aesthetics, and the novelty of snow for younger generations, the reality of dealing with plummeting temperatures and darker days can quickly take their toll on both physical and mental health – as well as financial resources. For some, in more extreme cases, the ‘winter blues’ can develop into seasonal depression. This training assists attendees to reframe the many challenges of wintery months and instead explore the possibilities that arise, leveraging the unique opportunities it presents in our favour.
We will delve into simple strategies that can help to lighten up dark months with restorative self-care practices and make the most of the opportunity to reflect and reset.
