“One of the best courses I have done this year. Really enjoyed it and experiencing it virtually did not take away from the content at all.”

Addiction comes in many forms, and while some addictive behaviours are considered to be far less harmful than others, all tend to come with a cost. Conversations on this topic more traditionally revolved around the life-threatening sort; smoking, alcohol and drug use. However more recently the negative impact of seemingly innocuous behaviours are gaining recognition, such as high levels of screentime, overworking, exercise and online shopping, Literally any behaviour that produces the “feel-good” hormone dopamine can become a hook. In this session we explore strategies proven to help restore behavioural balance and improve wellbeing, while acknowledging that addiction is a highly complex topic. While there is no ‘one way’ or ‘quick fix’, we will cover some key perspectives on what drives addictive behaviour, and how individuals can begin to regain a greater sense of agency over their lifestyle choices once again.
The main objective of this session is to empower attendees to recognise signs off imbalance, to become more intentional about personal choices, and to signpost help if needed.
