Synopsis

Meditation helps to cultivate present-moment awareness, used as a therapeutic technique to promote greater self-awareness, emotional regulation and overall sense of wellbeing. It has also been shown in the research to provide a host of psychological and health benefits, from decreased stress and anxiety to improved immunity and cognitive flexibility. This relaxing, experiential session combines a light theoretical introduction to meditation and mind-body practices, followed by a brief tutorial on three popular practices; Mindful breathing, Progressive Muscle Relaxation and Guided imagery meditation.
