Synopsis

This session offers attendees the opportunity to press pause and step back from their current circumstances – to reflect on any present challenges, and explore effective ways of dealing with daily stressors as they arise in their many forms.
We will explore evidence-based strategies that are proven to help build natural resourcefulness, to buffer against the negative impact of ongoing disruption and new challenges in our lives.
The mix of light theory, practical tools and experiential practices aims to facilitate increased self-awareness and optimise self-care. As such, the session begins by placing primary focus on important lifestyle factors that build better physical, mental and emotional fitness.
In the latter part of the workshop, the emphasis shifts as the focus is placed on group dynamics and communication skills in the workplace, to support fostering stronger collaboration and synergy within team settings. These insights may be especially useful and relevant during intense phases of transition and uncertainty.

It’s important to set the precedent that this is not intended to be a crash course in resilience – but rather aims to provide participants with time to reflect and get some reprieve from the recent upheaval in the world.
It is also important for attendees to know that this is not a problem-orientated workshop, but instead aims to be possibility focussed. As such, this is not so much about ‘managing stress’, as it is about exploring new ways to enhance how we feel and function on a day to day basis.
